Native Kingdom Release First Single 'Wind And Waters'
Native Kingdom, a collective of Jesus-loving worship leaders and creatives from the Pacific Northwest, have released their first original single 'Wind and Waters'.
In faith, Ryan Smith, one of 3 founders of Native Kingdom, stepped down from a successful Christian band called Cadet in the early 2000's (touring with such bands as Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Sonicflood, Switchfoot, etc.) in order to walk more fully in his calling as a worship leader and songwriter. Since that time, Ryan has worked with some of Christian music's Grammy award-winning songwriters and producers such as Chris Stevens (Toby Mac, Michael W Smith, Mandisa) and Bryan Fowler (Chris Tomlin, Ryan Stevenson).
This last year husband-and-wife Ryan and Haley Smith, along with their good friend Reuben Wai, were led to take a step of faith and create a hub for musicians, producers, graphic designers and photographers seeking to worship the Lord by using their gifts. Now Native Kingdom serves as a launchpad for fresh worship coming out of the Pacific Northwest.
For the past year, Native Kingdom has been streamed over 1 Million times on Spotify in over 64 countries, has been added to over 3k playlists and is being played on radio airwaves worldwide including radio stations in Israel, Africa, Australia, and the UK. Their first original single "Wind and Waters" is an incredibly personal message centered around placing our hope in Jesus, no matter what the surrounding circumstances look like. “When I lost my brother to suicide years ago, I realized the importance of praising God for his enduring goodness even when things look bad,” says Ryan. “We overcome tribulation by trusting in the One who has overcome the world.”
Native Kingdom is on a mission to stir up others in their faith to step into their creative calling for God’s kingdom and to passionately worship Him for His goodness in all seasons.
