Brandon Hixson Releases New Album 'Seasons'

Dec 31 2018

Worship Pastor and Songwriter Brandon Hixson has released his new album 'Seasons'. Brandon is known to many as the lead singer and sax player for Racing Gravity whose debut single; 'Only By His Grace' was a Contemporary Christian Radio Hit in 2011 and the theme to the film, One Church. Brandon has shared the stage with many notable artists including Anthony Evans, Mercy Me, Jason Castro, Love And The Outcome and Third Day.

The new album, 'Seasons', was written and produced by Hixson who has spent the last 12 months writing and recording for the project. “I am really excited about this album,” admitted Hixson. “I have collaborated with some wonderful songwriters and have worked with so many talented musicians to help create a beautiful recording that I hope people will love as much as I do! After I graduated in May with my Master’s Degree from Dallas Baptist University, I decided to plug the long extra hours I had been using to study and write research papers into scoring and recording new songs for the church and this new album.”

2018 has proved to be a very busy year for Hixson. Brandon is a full-time Worship Pastor at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Ennis. He is also a dedicated husband to Karen and the proud father to Caleb (13) and Caylin (9) Hixson. Earlier this year, Brandon was nominated by the Independent Music Awards for “Best Album in Contemporary Christian” for his personal 2017 project, “Here Is My Heart”. Contemporary Christian legend Michael W. Smith and rocker Amy Lee of Evanescence announced the Contemporary Christian Category in New York in April. The Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) has issued licenses to two of Brandon’s songs and Sheet Music Plus has arranged three of Brandon’s compositions on their site. Hixson has also scored two compositions for independent films and several of his music videos have been featured on TV and Cable stations all over North and South America. His YouTube channels have over 20 million views.

“Seasons” features some of Brandon’s personal favorite songs that he has ever written. The lovely ballad, “Autumn Fall” was written for Hixson’s mother, Pat Hixson, who passed away from cancer several years ago. The 1980’s Country superstar Sylvia and the 1970’s powerhouse vocalist Melissa Manchester both praised the song and its hauntingly poignant delivery. The Hee Haw sounding anthem, “The Miracle” was dedicated to the memory of Hixson’s grandmother Virginia Hixson and her love for life and Dolly Parton. The song caught the attention of the 47-time Grammy Award Winner who responded with a personal comment, “That Brandon’s Memaw sounds like my kind of broad! I know she is having a ball in Heaven knowing she has her own song!” The album also features several songs written and recorded by members of the Tabernacle Worship Team, who is currently working on a new album that will be released in 2019. “Season Of Grace” was written by Brandon Hixson with Alan and Shannon Eddins who are both active members of the Worship Team. The Christmas song, “Morning Star Of Bethlehem” was written by Hixson and his songwriting pal Eva Wilson and performed by Tabernacle Worship as was the song currently promoted by CCLI titled, “I Come To You”.

'Seasons' is available on all digital media platforms including CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon. CD’s will be made available upon request.
