This album is of course filled with the timeless classic Christmas songs like 'Silent Night', 'Joy To The World', 'Carol Of The Bells' and 'O Come All Ye Faithful' which we sing every year at different church events or childrens carol concerts. All fifteen songs are played by Tom on the piano and that's the only instrument we hear.
Yes, I do wish I could play piano as well as Tom, wouldn't we all, with the excellent tones and textures of the piano the songs have a very quiet and reflective sound which is nice to think about during the busyness and craziness of the Christmas season.
If I'm being really honest, I didn't enjoy this album as much as I have enjoyed other Christmas albums, that isn't to say others won't enjoy it though. I just feel it lacks much depth. But it will be good as a background album for over dinner on Christmas day, while you read rubbish jokes from a cracker.
