VERSES Release Brand New Sound With An Age Old Truth With 'Hold On' Single
With back to back festival dates, supporting some of the biggest names in the industry, playing summer main stages and dance parties across the nation has not slowed, the Aussie trio Verses, down one bit. Hot on the heels of the release of the 'Letting Go' (HGHTS) Remix, Verses brings us another ground breaking track, 'Hold On'.
Upon hearing 'Hold On' for the first time it is evident that Verses find their inspiration from a variety of sounds, landing this track somewhere in the genre-bending realm. With it’s EDM synths, big bass lines and captivating vocals, ‘Hold On’ brings a fresh new sound to the Christian Music industry.
In true Verses fashion, the inspiration behind the song is found in Hebrews 10:22-23 “We hold on to this hope unswervingly, because He who promised is faithful.” Vocalist Jess said “This song serves as a reminder and a declaration that we can have hope, even in the times were it would be easier to give up. But this hope has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with Jesus, that is the reason we can hold on unswervingly.”
Despite the busy schedule of their 4th USA Tour, Verses remain true to the mission that they believe they have been called to; to write the modern day memory verse. And after two years on tour, they have never been more convinced that this generation needs songs of hope.
“No matter where you are, at any stage of your journey, there will be hard things that you will go through. But it is in those times that we need to know that there are truths we can hold onto. We can hold on to His promises, His peace, His joy, His love… I want this song to remind people that God has given us those promises so that in all circumstances we can hold onto hope and know that He will always be faithful.” said Luke.
