Houston Rap Dup The New Cool Debut 'Church In Da Bando'

Jul 16 2018

Houston-based Christian Rap duo, The New Cool, have released their new single 'Church In Da Bando'. The song is the first installment of many concept songs associated with the duo's forthcoming album, entitled 'The New Church'.

Its upbeat, energetic, trap sound, displays The New Cool’s ability to mix popular references with ministry-driven lyrical content, appealing to the urban and suburban Christian audiences, and captivating non-traditional “church-goers” from urban communities. “Bando” is an urban slang term for the word “abandoned”. The theme of this song is simple, “We’re bringing Christ to the abandoned,” states groupmembers, Baroe and Ozone.

God teamed Baroe and Ozone up to form the dynamic duo, The New Cool. Their musical chemistry is explosive. They recognized the anointing on the music they began to create, as they share the same passion to re-present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their generation and beyond. Their desire to expose the truth to others has driven them to bring their brand of Gospel music, Worship & Rhyme.
