KXC Release Live Worship Album 'All Things New'

Jul 13 2018

KXC, King's Cross Church in London, release the first live worship album 'All Things New' on Friday 13 July. It was recorded live at Scala in King’s Cross, London on 1 March 2018.

"The songs on this album have been an incredible gift to us in our times of worship at KXC and we hope that they will enable all who hear them to be drawn deeper into the transformative love of God", says KXC. "Our hope and prayer is that these songs bring as much life to you and your community as they have done to ours over the last few years."

The album's producer, Jeremy Edwardson, explained how the album was affected by tragedy before the recording had even begun. "One of my favourite things about producing live worship music is experiencing the move of God in and through people and communities around the world. KXC was no exception and one that I’ll never forget. It was an honour to work on these songs with the KXC team. For me personally the project was hit with tragedy at the unexpected loss of my good friend and longtime studio engineer Andrew Jackson due to illness on the flight there. The last song Andrew worked on just prior to our flight was ‘With Me’ and the words could not be more fitting. Even in the midst of such great loss, it was evident throughout the recording week that God had gone before us in his grace, sovereignty and love. This album was a declaration that God is good, even when we don’t understand, he’s still good. I hope you experience his goodness as you listen to this album."

KXC Worship Pastor Tom Eccleshall adds, "Doing a live recording to capture what God has been doing within our times of worship at KXC had been a long held dream. To gather at Scala - an iconic building right in the centre of our community in London - to lift Jesus up and declare him king in our lives and to pray for our community was a moment I will never forget. It was a day that I saw God fulfil a dream he had given me when the church was first planted eight years ago.

The passing of Andrew as he travelled over to London to do the recording was really difficult to understand. I will never forget what one member of his team who travelled to London with him told me: he sensed that through his death new life was going to emerge through this project. I want to thank Jeremy and Andrew’s family for the support and encouragement they gave to us as a worship team and church. I pray that this recording can help people experience the new life that only God can bring, and that it would awaken a new expression of real, raw and honest worship in our community and beyond."
