Additionally, Chris Chicago, who is the host of Rapzilla.com’s #1 syndicated radio program, Rapzilla.com LIVE, who also hosts a top morning show in Houston, TX on 91.7 NGEN Radio featured TylerJames on his “Artist Spotlight†podcast.
The song debut, 'A.D. (featuring Gemstones)', was recorded in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with producers Mike Dresch of Cathouse Studios (The Spill Canvas) and Scott Styles Beats (Young Thug, Ace Hood, Fetty Wap, Scarface).
When it came to writing the song, TylerJames wrote the hook while considering an element to the beat, “The oriental twang reminded me of the Chinese zodiac where it attributes animals to months and years, which inspired me to reorient the zodiac to convey the true meaning of who governs time and historyâ€. Something that furthered his approach and overall thesis of the song was the thought of what’s happening in academia, “Today’s textbooks are getting rid of the “B.C. and A.D.†distinctions and are adding a new way to describe human history.
They parse human history with “common eras†so I want to reform the acronymâ€.
