Jay Norris & St John's Church Hartley Wintney Release 'Be Still' EP
Worship Pastor Jay Norris and St John's Church, Hartley Wintney, release their 'Be Still' EP on April 14th from all digital stores and streaming services. All profits from sales will go to two charities, Help Hoima and Every Life, working to improve the lives of people in Africa and the UK.
The six track EP is a collaboration with the St John's church worship team with funding of the recording and producing through a kickstarter campaign.
"This project came into being as a result of three things for which I will always be incredibly grateful", explains Jay. "The loving encouragement of others, the amazing support of a community of people through crowdfunding, and the closeness of a church fellowship to the voice of God.
Over the last few years at St John’s, the most I have done is to be obedient enough to take time to try and put words and melody to the story that God was forming in a beautiful community of people. From amazing moments with friends and writers, to divine intervention through prophetic prayers, this project exists because of a faithful God, a loving church family and a brilliantly creative team of musicians.
Every song was breathed, and crafted into life by a great God working in us; through moments of trial, desperation, prayer and joy both personal and corporate. The whole project has then been given beautiful colour because of incredible people who have given time and talent to take it all further than I ever thought it could go. We all pray that this offering might serve you well as you listen and begin to draw closer to God in whatever trial, desperation, prayer or joy that you find yourself. God is always good, and calls us again to ‘be still and know’."
