Double Grammy Award Nominations For MercyMe, Tauren Wells, CeCe Winans & Le'Andria
Both MercyMe and Tauren Wells have received two nominations for the upcoming 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Contemporary Christian Album categories.
CeCe Winans and Le'Andria also received two nominations each in the Best Gospel Performance/Song and Best Gospel Album categories.
The Recording Academy will present the GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, live from Madison Square Garden in New York and broadcast on the CBS Television Network.
Multi-platinum selling band MercyMe now have five career nominations. "When you're in a band for 23 years, your priorities tend to change a bit. Things that seemed important in the beginning just aren't that important today. That being said, being nominated for a GRAMMY is NOT one of those things. It's actually the opposite," shares MercyMe's Bart Millard. "The longer we're in this industry, the more we've come to appreciate each moment along the way. We are incredibly grateful."
Natalie Grant received her seventh career GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for her song 'Clean'. "The impact of this song has been incredibly special for me, because the stories I hear on a daily basis are how people have found such freedom, hope and healing through it," Grant said. "Now with what I’ve been through in my health the past couple of months, the song has taken on new meaning for me, as I’ve been declared clean of cancer. To receive a GRAMMY nomination for this particular song is just a really sweet gift."
