Jess Barlow Plans Follow Up Single 'I Run'
20 year old singer/songwriter Jess Barlow is aiming to record and release her new single 'I Run' following the success of her first single 'Someone Else's War': a heart felt and moving testimony of how she has fought her darkest enemies and now lives a life of freedom.
Based on Hebrews 12:1 "And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us," 'I Run' powerfully captures the message that we must push on to reach our God-given destiny, and leave behind the issues of the past. It portrays the message that we must guard the place we have fought to reach, and not let the hounds close back in on us.
Life hasn't always been easy for Jess, but her music has been one of the things that has really helped her through the tough times. In the last few years she has fought and won some difficult battles - including recovery from Bulimia, self harm, depression and anxiety - and now she wants to use her songs to inspire others who are going through tough times themselves.
In 2014, Jess performed at Sheffield's O2 Academy, as a support act for Philippa Hanna. Philippa has played a big role in the development of Jess' music, and she has encouraged and supported her along her journey. Jess wrote Someone Else's War alongside Philippa.
Someone Else's War has been a real success. The single was featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Sheffield, Louder Than the Music, in the local newspaper, and has also been distributed as far as Japan.
But, in order to be able to record and release the new single, which is destined to impact many, Jess it looking to find a sponsor or funding. Find out more at jessbarlowmusic.co.uk
