Casting Crowns, MercyMe and Hillsong UNITED have been nominated for this year's American Music Award in the 'Contemporary Inspirational' category.

The 2015 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater LA on Sunday, November 22nd on ABC. The AMAs are a fan-voted award show with winners determined by votes cast online as well as via Twitter.

Casting Crowns have been nominated for the second straight year, making it the group's seventh nomination. Last year they won the award for the second time.

The GRAMMY-winning and multi-Platinum selling group will release their new live project, A Live Worship Experience, on November 13th (Beach Street/Reunion). A Live Worship Experience was recorded live this summer at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church, which is Casting Crowns' home church and where frontman, Mark Hall, has remained a full-time youth pastor for more than 20 years.

MercyMe have earned their fifth American Music Award Nomination. Honored with two American Music Awards in the past, MercyMe led the category, winning in both 2004 and 2010.

The AMA nomination comes on the heals of their second Christmas album. October 9th marked the debut of MercyMe, It’s Christmas!

Hillsong UNITED has been nominated for the second time in a row following the release of their latest studio album, EMPIRES, this past May to much acclaim, debuting at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian albums chart, and No. 2 on the Digital Albums chart.
