As thousands of lives stand together as one, singing out melodies of praise to an unbelievable God, Spring Harvest becomes alive with spirit-soaked adoration and encounter.
Featuring lead worshippers Sarah Bird / Ben Cantelon / Worship Central / Pete James / Graham Kendrick this album collates some of the moments from all four Spring Harvest 2015 breaks during the Easter celebration.
What stands out for me is how strong the track listing is. From the high energy modern sounds of The Way led by the brilliant Benjamin Cantelon, and Take my Heart by the talented Tom Smith, to the powerful Martin Smith Great Is Your Faithfulness and the reflective and powerful Ancient Wells from Sound of Wales. This album has 15 tracks that are all as strong as one another. I don't think I have ever seen a live album with such a strong set of songs.
It kinds of goes without saying but the recording is top quality and gets the balance so well with it being a live album but also being mixed so well that it doesn't all sound the same, which sometimes can happen with live albums. It also helps that this album has so many strong worship leaders and musicians who are actually all very different to each other. From the team at Worship Central to Sue Rinaldi, Pete James, Sound of Wales, Sarah Bird, Andy Smith, Cathy Burton and the grandfather of it all, Graham Kendrick. All these artists lead in different ways and this reflects the creative and varying ways we can express our worship to God.
If you are picking this up and have never been to Spring Harvest, I highly recommend the event, not just for the great worship. But there is so much more this easter conference has to offer. Please find out more if you are interested. Yet for now if you want a complete collection of the latest worship songs, led by great people, then please have a listen to this.
