Onething Live To Release 'Shout Your Name' Album

May 19 2015

Forerunner Music, the official record label of the International House of Prayer of Kansas City (IHOPKC), presents its highly anticipated music offering, Onething Live: Shout Your Name, available June 30 through digital and physical retail outlets everywhere with New Day Distribution.

The live album, recorded at IHOPKC’s annual Onething young adult conference last December (Dec. 28-31), features some of the most memorable songs from the event all led by members of its worship team during the conference.

Each December downtown Kansas City is transformed into a global destination for thousands of fiery worshipers as IHOPKC hosts its annual Onething conference at the Kansas City Convention Center. This premier event, which draws approximately 20,000 church leaders and young people from congregations all across the world each year, featured Forerunner Music artists and IHOPKC worship leaders Misty Edwards, Jaye Thomas, Laura Hackett Park, Jonas Park, Jon Thurlow, Justin Rizzo and Ryan Kondo.

Shout Your Name captures the energetic atmosphere and vibrant worship of the conference, while leading listeners to encounter Jesus through passionate worship, teaching of the Word and ministry in the power of the spirit.

“The primary aim of Onething is, and always has been, ‘to encounter Jesus so that we might go forth to do His works and change the world’,” notes Forerunner Music President Nick Syrett. “We are humbled and honored for our worship artists to take the lead in fulfilling this mission, not only as participants in the Onething conference, but as instrumental players in God’s big picture plan.”

Focusing on the conference’s theme of “Until the fame of Jesus fills the earth,” each song from the 11-track project reflects the unique musical and spiritual giftings shared 24/7 by the worship team at the House of Prayer.

Other stand-out tracks include the acoustic-driven “So Come” sung by Misty Edwards, one of IHOPKC’s most well-known worship leaders, the very reflective “I Will Wait” from Ryan Kondo and about hearing God’s voice “in the midst of this noise,” and “Hymn (John 1)” from Jaye Thomas, featuring the gospel vocal ensemble, The Cry, made up of current or past prayer room singers and worship leaders at IHOPKC. Also featured is Laura Hackett Park’s “In The Presence of Angels” and “Lift Up Your Head,” the inspiring song that gave her most recent album (Love Will Have Its Day) its title.
