Brighton's Bright City Release Debut Album With Help From Martin Smith

Mar 09 2015

The self-titled debut album from British creative collective Bright City is released on Monday 16 March 2015. Based at St Peter's Brighton, UK, the Bright City project brings together song-writers, musicians and producers who all have a vision to make music that is authentic, creative and passionate.

The album's Executive Producer was Martin Smith, former Delirious? frontman. "It’s great living in Brighton and being part of the Church here, and it’s been so exciting to see what has come out of our own people. Some of the writers are only 19, 20 years old on this project, and we were intentional about writing the songs that we loved, that we wanted to write, and not copying anything that had come before."

The album is hotly-anticipated after the success of first single ‘Colour,’ released February 2015. The single went straight to the top of the iTunes Christian/Gospel song charts and reached top 100 in iTunes song charts. From the anthemic title track ‘Bright City’ via the explosive first single ‘Colour’ through to the more tender moments including ‘I Will Rest’ and ‘Broken’ - the album aims to point people to their Creator.
