2015 Grammy Nominations Include Francesca Battistelli, MercyMe, Erica Campbell, Lecrae
The nominations for the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards have been announced by The Recording Academy. In the Christian music categories there are two nominations each for Francesca Battistelli, Erica Campbell, MercyMe, Lecrae, Smokie Norful and For King & Country.
Francesca Battistelli receives nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song and Album for her album 'If We're Honest', whilst MeryMe are also recognised in both categories for their album 'Welcome To The New'.
There are also nominations for Crowder, Needtobreathe, Natalie Grant and Royal Tailor amongst others (see full list below).
Nominated artists quickly took to Twitter to respond to the news. Mary Mary's Erica Campbell, nominated for her debut solo album 'Help', wrote "So honored to be nominated for Best Gospel Album!!". Gospel singer Smokie Norful tweeted, "Wow! Thank you @TheGRAMMYs!! Grateful for the nomination for Best Gospel Album!".
Responding to the news that their self-titled album had been nominated, Royal Tailor tweeted "Honored to have been nominated for a #Grammy for our album!!"
