Chris Tomlin Releases 'Waterfall' Single From Forthcoming New Album

May 19 2014

Chris Tomlin has released his new single 'Waterfall' on iTunes, ahead of a new studio album he is currently recording.

In a video message to fans on YouTube, the Grammy award winning worship leader said he expects the new album to be released this October.

The single has been released before the album is finished as Tomlin says he "can't wait" for people to hear it now. Of the forthcoming album, Tomlin admits "[I] still have songs cooking".

Tomlin released his last studio album, 'Burning Lights', in January 2013, entering the Billboard 200 overall album chart at number 1. His previous album, 'And If Our God Is For Us...' (2010) was the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

"It's crazy to think when this album comes out if will almost be two years since 'Burning Lights' came out, it just flies", the singer admits. "But I'm so excited about this new music. I can't wait for you to hear it."

Several new songs from Chris Tomlin appeared on the 'Passion: Take It All' live album released last month.
