Double Grammy Award Wins For Mandisa & Tye Tribbett

Former American Idol star Mandisa won two Grammy Awards last night, earning Best Contemporary Christian Music Song and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for her fifth studio album 'Overcomer'.

In the Gospel categories, Tye Tribbett also earned a double Grammy win with Best Gospel Song for 'If He Did It Before...' and Best Gospel Album for 'Greater Than'. The Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance award went to Tasha Cobbs for 'Break Every Chain'.

The winners of the 56th Annual Grammy Awards were announced last night (26th January 2014) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Mandisa's latest album, 'Overcomer', was released last August and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart, with the album's title track holding on to the No. 1 spot for several weeks on the National Christian Audience chart as well as the No. 1 position on the Christian/Gospel Core Digital sales chart for over 12 weeks.
