Phatfish To Bow Out With Final Show & Live Album

Jan 13 2014

Popular long running British worship band Phatfish have announced that they will be performing their final show together later this year. The band plan to bow out with a final live album recorded on the night of their last performance.

"Today we are announcing that after twenty years of creating inspiring music, touring widely, leading thousands in worship, recording, teaching, and sharing God's love, PHATFISH will be taking to the stage for the last time on 14th March 2014 at the Wessex Christian Centre in Bournemouth", said the band in a message to fans over the weekend.

"This certainly isn't the end of the road for the band members, with new songs being written, albums being produced and churches equipped, but this will be the final concert under the PHATFISH name. A final PHATFISH album will be recorded live on the night. We are so grateful to you and all those who have supported and encouraged us over the last two decades, and to our Heavenly Father who has blessed us abundantly."

Fronted by singer Lou Fellingham, Phatfish released their last studio album , 'Higher', in October 2011. The Brighton based band are best known for worship classics including 'Holy, Holy (Lift Up His Name)', 'There is a Day' and '(Looking In The Sky) Amazing God'.

Lou has previously released three solo albums and in 2012 released a thirty-song collection titled 'The Best Of Lou Fellingham Live' taken from the numerous live events where Lou has led congregations in worship. Plans are already in place for Lou's next solo album, with the band saying, "Look out for Lou's new album, being recorded this year with Integrity Music."
