Crowder Discusses New Single From Forthcoming Solo Album 'Neon Steeple'

After taking a year off, David Crowder is ready to release his all new solo album 'Neon Steeple' on 18th February 2014. Simply known as Crowder, he describes the new music as "folktronica", or a mixture of acoustic sounds and electronic beats.

The critically acclaimed artist and songwriter explains the story behind new single 'I Am', from his his first solo studio album, in a new YouTube video unveiled this week (see below).

Crowder will be performing at both Passion conferences next year, (Atlanta January 17 & 18, Houston February 14 & 15) and the WinterJam tour, before hitting the road with a headlining tour kicking off in the Spring.

Last year, Crowder joined iTunes for 'Crowder: iTunes Session', offering organic tracks from the group's most loved originals. The release of David Crowder*Band's greatest hits collection 'All This For A King: The Essential Collection' in May offered a preview into 'Neon Steeple' with a new Crowder track, 'This I Know'.

The David Crowder*Band released their final collection of new music with the Grammy nominated project, 'Give Us Rest (A Requiem Mass in C [The Happiest of All Keys])'. The record entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 2 and gave the band their highest debut in their 12-year career.

The group released 6 albums, selling over 1.3 million albums while winning 8 Dove Awards and receiving two Grammy nominations.
