Jul 26 2012

Mercy Me have recorded a documentary video looking behind the scenes of their latest studio album 'The Hurt & The Healer'. The video, titled 'The Making of The Hurt & The Healer' is available to buy from the band's website and will also be available on iTunes later in the year.

With a total running time of just over 30 minutes, 'The Making of The Hurt & The Healer' includes high definition video filmed in the recording studio and on the road over the course of eight months.

In addition to live performances of album tracks 'The Hurt & The Healer' and 'You Are I Am', the film features footage from the studio, bloopers, interviews with the band, stories behind the songs, and an overall behind-the-scenes look at the beginning to end creation of 'The Hurt & The Healer'.

The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated, American Music Award and multiple GMA Dove Award winning band will release their next single, 'You Are I Am', on 17th August 2012 as the follow-up to their month-long Number 1 hit, 'The Hurt & The Healer'.

MercyMe are one of the few Contemporary Christian music groups to have had all of their recordings certified Gold or Platinum, and have garnered 23 Number 1 radio singles.

'The Hurt & The Healer' was released in May as the follow up to the band's 2010 album 'The Generous Mr Lovewell' which entered the Billboard's Top 200 SoundScan Chart in the USA at number 3, giving the band the highest chart debut of their career.
