Latest Hillsong Live Album 'Cornerstone' Charts Around The Globe As US Tour Goes On Sale

Jul 20 2012

Australia's Hillsong continues to break records as it's latest live album 'Cornerstone' becomes the first Hillsong album to debut on all major mainstream music charts in the world. During the annual Hillsong Conference, held earlier this month in Sydney, the album peaked at Number 3 on the US iTunes overall albums chart and Number 1 in other countries.

'Cornerstone' also debuted at Number 1 on both the Billboard Christian and Gospel albums and the Praise and Worship albums chart, in addition to reaching Number 32 on the overall Billboard 200 album chart.

While more than 20,000 people packed Sydney's largest indoor stadium, Allphones Arena, for the recent conference, at least 100,000 others across the globe watched the live stream as the conference was streamed across the web for the first time.

"Many people can't afford to come to Australia, but the technology enabled them to experience the sense of worship and praise that those at the venue encountered," said Hillsong's Reuben Morgan.

Tickets go on sale for the 12-city Hillsong Live Cornerstone US Tour today, 20th July, with the tour kicking off on 12th September in Boston.
