Nashville based band Sixpence None The Richer will make a rare appearance in the UK this weekend when they perform at the O2 Academy Islington in London on 28th April 2012. They will be supported at the one-off show by Ezra Axelrod.

Sixpence's lead singer Leigh Nash released her solo album 'Hymns And Sacred Songs' in November, featuring new versions of some of her favourite old hymns including 'Blessed Redeemer', 'Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing' and 'Praise The Lord Who Reigns Above'.

The band's much delayed new studio album, now expected to be titled 'Lost In Transition', is tentatively scheduled for release in July 2012 having originally expected to be released in 2010 under the title 'Strange Conversation'.

Sixpence None The Richer are best known for their song 'Kiss Me', which featured in the film She's All That, and their covers of 'Don't Dream It's Over' and 'There She Goes'.

Prior to their London show the group will be performing two dates in Turkey this week, in Istanbul (25th) and Ankara (26th).
