Dove Award 2012 Winners Include Laura Story, NeedToBreathe, Switchfoot, Lecrae & Jason Crabb

The winners of the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards were announced last night, 19th April 2012, at the awards ceremony at Atlanta's Fox Theatre. Among the evening's biggest winners were Laura Story and NeedToBreathe, both winning three awards.

Laura Story won Song of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year for 'Blessings', whilst NeedToBreathe won Group of the Year, Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year and Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year for 'The Reckoning'.

Other multiple-award winners on the night included Switchfoot who won Rock Song of the Year for 'Dark Horses' and Rock Album of the Year for 'Vice Verses', Lecrae with Rap/Hip Hop Recorded Song of the Year and Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year for 'Rehab', Kirk Franklin with Contemporary Gospel Song of the Year and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year for 'Hello Fear', and Jason Crabb who won Male Vocalist of the Year and Artist of the Year.

Chris Tomlin's latest studio album 'And If Our God is For Us' won Praise and Worship Album of the Year whilst recently retired David Crowder Band won Christmas Album of the Year for 'Oh For Joy'.
