Chris Tomlin & Brandon Heath Pick Up Three Grammy Nominations Each
The nominations for the 54th Annual Grammy Awards were announced during a televised show at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater last night, 30th November 2011. In the Gospel and Contemporary Christian categories, worship leader Chris Tomlin and singer/songwriter Brandon Heath lead the field with three nominations each, whilst Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary both picked up two nominations each.

Chris Tomlin was nominated in the Best Gospel/Christian Performance and Best Christian Song categories for 'I Lift My Hands', and Christian Album for 'And If Our God Is For Us...'. Brandon Heath was also nominated for Best Gospel/Christian Performance and Best Christian Song for 'Your Love', and Christian Album for 'Leaving Eden'. Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary were both nominated in the Best Gospel Song and Best Gospel Album categories.

Other nominated Christian music artists this year include Steven Curtis Chapman, Natalie Grant, Laura Story, Jamie Grace, Matthew West, Gungor, Leeland, Mandisa and Royal Tailor (see full list below).

The Grammy Award winners will be announced at the award ceremony in Los Angeles on 12th February 2012.
