Parachute Band To Release New Double-Album & Single

Dec 01 2011

New Zealand's Parachute Band will release their brand new album worldwide at the 2012 Parachute Music Festival which takes place between 27th and 30th January in New Zealand. The annual event is one of the largest music festivals in the Southern Hemisphere, with a regular attendance of 25,000 people.

Ahead of the double-disc album, the band will release their new single 'Keep The Fire Burning' on iTunes on 6th December 2011. "We're stoked to be able to announce that the first single from the album, a song called 'Keep The Fire Burning', will be released worldwide on iTunes next week on December 6th", explains the band's drummer and producer Sam de Jong. "We've just embarked on the mixing stage of the album process where all the pretty sounds we've recorded get tweaked and balanced and it all begins to sound a whole lot better! It's great to be working with Nic Manders again for the mix."

"This double-disc album is an exciting project for us", Sam continues. "It's completely different to anything we've ever done before, musically and conceptually. We're hoping it'll be a resource that will aid you in experiencing intimate moments with God."

Frontman Omega Levine and Sam de Jong formed the Parachute Band in 2007, picking up from where the original Parachute Band (1996-2006) had left off. The five-piece band has toured relentlessly throughout America, Africa, Asia, and Europe. The band released 'Love Without Measure' in February 2011 and performed three UK dates in June to promote the album.
