One Sonic Society To Release First Full Length Album 'Forever Reign'
Worship band One Sonic Society will release their debut full-length album 'Forever Reign' on 17th January 2012. Comprised of former Delirious? guitarist Stu G, former Hillsong United drummer/writer/producer Paul Mabury and Dove Award winning songwriter and producer Jason Ingram, One Sonic Society produced the album along with Matt Bronleewe.
The band have previously released three five-song EPs, appropriately titled 'One', 'Sonic' and 'Society', with several of their songs being covered by artists including Hillsong ('Forever Reign'), Natalie Grant ('Greatness Of Our God') and Rebecca St. James ('Almighty God'), amongst others.
Ten-track album 'Forever Reign' will feature the best songs from each of the three mini EPs. Title track 'Forever Reign' is one of the fastest growing songs in the church at the moment, having jumping from number 229 to number 48 in just six months on the CCLI bi-annual chart following its inclusion on Hillsong's 'A Beautiful Exchange' album. Jason Ingram co-wrote the song with Hillsong's Reuben Morgan.
"When Reuben and I got together to write 'Forever Reign' we really just wrote what was on our hearts to bring to God," says Ingram. "Life often pulls our focus to so many things that take our eyes off Jesus, and so the verses are an affronting confession of who Christ is. As my band mate Paul Mabury likes to say, worship is about lifting our eyes from the problem and placing them on the answer. Our world is being shaken, but He will not be. The riches of His love will always be enough, forever."
In September One Sonic Society joined Matt Maher on his The Love In Between Tour, and all three band members have recently collaborated with artists and songwriters including Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Kristian Stanfill, Desperation Band, Tim Hughes and All Sons and Daughters.
