Tom & Olly Release Second Album 'Spirals'

Jul 19 2011

British duo Tom & Olly have now released their second album 'Spirals'. Produced by Dan Wheeler (Cathy Burton, Graham Kendrick), the 11 track album is available from the group's website, and a free download of the track 'Down By The Sea' is available on LTTM.

Discussing the album's title in an interview with LTTM, Tom & Olly said: "It's referring to the 'ups and downs' that we have been through over the past 2 years. Every song tells a story, from the highs of romance, to the lows of death. We were adamant to make sure that every emotion we felt was poured into all the songs, not leaving anything censored or watered down."

Describing the album's title track, the band went on to say "It's completely different to any other song we've written before. The song is just piano and vocals, its the most simple yet profound song we feel we've ever written. It's a haunting tale of despair, danger and hope."

After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2009 with Elevation Records, the group have decided to go it alone with their follow up album, releasing it independently on their own label Funfair Records.
