Final Show Announced For [dweeb]

Jun 23 2011

British band [dweeb] have announced details for their final ever show. The band revealed earlier this year that after nearly nine years of touring and recording they would be coming to an end. The final show will take place at Nexus in Coventry on 2nd September 2011. Tickets are on sale now at just £4 from wegottickets.com/dweeb with an exclusive after party for all ticket holders.

"We've just booked in our final ever gig. We'll be playing a rather special setlist, playing songs from all of our releases over the years", said the band. "There are a very limited number [of tickets] available, so... get them while you can!"

[dweeb] released their 'Feels Like Dynamite' album in 2010 as the follow up to 2007's 'It Came From Outer Space!'. Earlier this year they released their final ever single 'My New Hero' along with a limited edition EP titled 'My New Hero & The Hidden Treasures' featuring previously unreleased b-sides and demos.

In an exclusive guest blog for Louder Than The Music, [dweeb] front man Tim Alford wrote: "After so many years it does feel strange to end, but we do all feel that it's the right time. We have devoted nine years of our lives to this - and grown from teenagers to adults in the process. It has been a privilege and an honour to make music that has made a difference in people's lives. So there's a sense of sadness, but of peace as well. It's been an incredible adventure, and we will always be grateful to our fans for joining in with us."
