Hillsong Release 'It Is Well With My Soul' To Raise Money For Queensland Flood Victims

Jan 21 2011

Australian worship movement Hillsong have recorded a special song in response to the devastating floods of January 2011 in Queensland, Australia. 'It Is Well With My Soul' is available to download from today on the iTunes UK and iTunes US stores, with all proceeds going to the Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.

'It Is Well With My Soul' was recorded by the Hillsong team and features a newly written chorus by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding and was mixed by Sam Gibson (Hillsong United, Delirious?, Pearl Jam, Crowded House).

The disaster relief appeal in Queensland was launched on 29th December 2010 to help those affected by wide spread flooding in Queensland. At least 30 people have died since early December, with tropical storms causing huge floods on the east coast of Australia. The Queensland Government has committed $11 million to the appeal which is assisting over 200,000 people affected by these devastating floods. However, as the number of communities affected grows, more donations are needed.
