Brandon Heath from Nashville, Tennessee is now a well known name in the Christian music world. He released his first independent album Early Stuff in 2004, which was a collection of songs he had been writing since starting out as a songwriter whilst a teenager. During that same year Brandon released a second independent album Soldier, which was produced by Chris Davis.

Don't Get Comfortable was the first main studio recording from Brandon, released in 2006 the album made a major impact straight way. The first single 'Our God Reigns' received a Dove Award nomination in 2007 and his song 'I'm Not Who I Was' became a number one single in the Billboard's Hot Christian Songs Chart, it also received two Dove Awards nominations including song of the year.

In mid 2008, Brandon released his latest album 'What If We'. The album earned rave reviews around the world, including the amazing track Give Me Your Eyes which entered the Christian charts in America and stayed at the number one spot for many consecutive weeks.

Brandon is also well known for helping other artists out as a songwriting partner. He has worked with Bebo Norman and Matt Wertz, Joy Williams and Christopher Williams. He has worked with Sevenglory on their 2007 album 'Atmosphere', he also guest starred on Leeland's album 'Love Is on The Move' playing on the track 'Follow You'.

As well as releasing albums, Brandon does a lot of community work. He regularly works with Young Life, Blood:Water Mission and Restore International. Heath also created the annual "Love Your Neighbor" benefit with fellow songwriter Jason Ingram. They work in partnership with Fellowship Bible Church for a night of music to raise funds and gather volunteers for a focused need in the Nashville community.

As well as writing Brandon enjoys touring, he recently finished his fall co-headlining tour with Jars of Clay which visited around 23 cities. The tour was in partnership with Blood:Water Mission and Food for the Hungry, and during the events people had the opportunity to sponsor kids around the world and support them, with over 400 children getting sponsored.

Taking us up to present time, Brandon is about to release his newest album 'Leaving Eden'. Heath teams up with long time collaborator Jason Ingram on four of the albums songs. He goes on to say about the new album "I want to celebrate the goodness in the world, and that's what the rest of the songs on the project talk about. I feel like I have a choice to protect what little innocence is still left in my life, because I think that's what attaches me to God. It doesn't mean other things can't be healed, but why do I have to feel like I'm completely ruined, when I'm not?"

These next few months are an exciting time for Brandon Heath, we can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for this very talented songwriter.
