Jars Of Clay Lead Singer Dan Haseltine Releases Solo Single

Oct 14 2010

Jars of Clay lead singer Dan Haseltine has released a solo single titled 'Can't Save You'. The song is taken from the Christian movie 'What If...', directed by Dallas Jenkins and starring Kevin Sorbo, Kristy Swanson, Debby Ryan and John Ratzenberger. The film was released earlier this summer.

'Can't Save You' is available to download on the US iTunes, and despite releasing this solo single, Dan explains that he has no plans at present to launch a solo career. "The song, 'Can't Save You,' is a solo song. However, I am not working on a full length solo project" he wrote on his Twitter page this week.

Dan is also the founder of the non-profit organisation, Blood:Water Mission, where he currently sits as part of the board of directors. The organisation aims to raise awareness and the necessary funds for the provision of clean blood and clean water in sub-Saharan Africa. Dan helped form rock band Jars of Clay in the early 1990s and the band released their 11th studio album, 'Jars of Clay presents The Shelter' earlier this month.
