Superchick Lead Singer Tricia Brock To Release Solo Worship Album

Sep 23 2010

Lead singer of pop/rock band Superchick, Tricia Brock, is to release her debut solo album in Spring 2011. Confirming the news, the group's label InPop Records describe Tricia's album as "a worship record" and said "we're pretty excited about it".

Tricia is married to Nick Baumhardt, guitarist with the band Stellar Kart as well as a songwriter and producer. "We've been writing and writing and writing for Tricia's solo worship album that I'm producing", says Nick. "We've written about 15 songs in the last two months and have had about 45 songs pitched to us for the record. We're still writing and will have to narrow it down to 10 songs eventually. The first question from everyone's mouth is if she's quitting Superchick and the answer is NO. Tricia's got a great voice and has always wanted to do a worship project and this seemed like the right time."

Superchick arrived on the music scene in 2001 with their debut album 'Karaoke Superstars'. They have since released four further studio albums, and most recently released their remix album 'Reinvention' earlier this year. The band launched it's 'Reinvention Tour 2010' earlier this week with special guests Me In Motion, Manafest and Bread Of Stone. The 20+ date tour continues through until early November.
