Debut Album 'The Broken' From The UK's Mark Robins

Jul 02 2010

British singer/songwriter Mark Robins will release his debut album 'The Broken' independently on 10th July 2010. The ten track album, produced by Nick Coetzee and recorded in Nashville and Florida, offers new songs for worshipping churches.

Mark has been leading worship for twenty years and is currently on the musical worship team at New Community Church in Southampton, UK. In 2008 he was band leader for US worship leader Roy Fields' three month UK tour which culminated in five nights broadcast live on GOD TV. Since then he has continued to work with Roy at his Worship Camp in Florida, meetings in Sarasota, Florida, and touring across Scandinavia. It was during this trip that Roy introduced Mark to producer Nick Coetzee and the conversation began.

"Mark writes songs to be played and sung", says the album's press release. "He seeks to capture something of God and package it, enabling the listener to hear Him speak. In doing this, Mark writes music that is as simple as possible to play, but songs that carry deep truth and reality."

In the album Mark also highlights the real world issue of child sex exploitation in the track 'For These Ones'. For more information about Mark, visit his website: markrobinsmusic.com
