Out Of The Ashes Releases 'Where I Run To' Ahead of New Studio Album

May 25 2023

Off the back of their first single ‘Where The Warriors Kneel’, Out of the Ashes return again with their next release ‘Where I Run To’.

A thought provoking track reflecting on how the world is doing today. A challenging subject matter presented with the backdrop of a jazzy gospel sound, offering an inspirational ray of light.

Singer Penny Lyon said: “We are alive today in an undeniably scary world. From global warming, famines and pandemics to international adversity and war, with a political scene that often leaves us feeling that there is no one left on whom we can rely. Honestly? I don’t understand how anyone can survive without faith.”

The track transcends all that the band are about, and producer Aron Bicskey (Lucy Spraggan, Eliot Kennedy, Jennifer Paige) captures the essence of what they’re trying to convey, with every element and instrument shining through.

The line up includes the incredible Mark Walker on keyboards (Simply Red, The Jacksons, Westlife, Will Young, All Saints), and Scott Whitley (Big Country, The Animals, Boomtown Rats) on double bass.

Where I Run To touches on a question we often ask ourselves….Out of the Ashes have the answer!
