Marcus Jordan Releasing 'My Life' EP

Feb 03 2023

Marcus Jordan is beginning to make his mark in the gospel industry. Still on a high from the success of his most recent single “Call on the Name”, Marcus sets to encourage his listeners with his new EP, “My Life”.

Including songs titled “Champion” and “Trusting in God”, the 6-track EP is sure to uplift its audience. This well-rounded body of work offers a nice surprise with the inclusion of “Finally”, a love ballad reminiscent of ‘90’s R&B and fit for a memorable walk down the aisle. The title-track and lead single “My Life” dabbles in the world of hip-hop. The song describes the human experience of enduring hardships and making mistakes without allowing past failures to prevent progress. It celebrates striving for growth rather than perfection and encourages self-awareness and confidence. Marcus’ smooth vocals really shine through the length of the mid-tempo track.

Released via his independent record label, the 9-track album debuted at #3 on iTunes Top 200 Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart. The hit single 'Call on the Name' soared to #1 on Billboard’s Gospel Indicator Chart in October 2022, maintaining its top position for 2 weeks straight. It also cracked top 3 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart and Top 3 on Mediabase Gospel.

Marcus Jordan launched onto the gospel music scene in 2017 with his debut single “You Are Here”. He followed it up with his second single and title track “I Will Bless the Lord” from his debut album in January 2018. “Give God the Glory” served as his next single (May 2019), which had success reaching #1 on Nielsen BDS Internet Gospel Radio Panel chart. In 2019 Marcus presented at the 34th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards. He returned as a red-carpet guest in 2022, where he was interviewed by media outlets such as BET & TV One. As a noted musician, he was afforded the opportunity to work with Beyoncé’s sister and recording artist Solange, while a part of the Music World Entertainment House Band. Marcus is also a songwriter, producer, and vocal arranger. He notably has written and co-produced all his songs to date.
