Michelle Marie, a singer/songwriter born and raised in the Bronx, NY but now residing in New Rochelle, has released a new acoustic version of her song 'Foreign'. The 'Foreign (Acoustic Sessions) EP' features two tracks, 'Foreign (First Love Spontaneous)' and 'Rest'.
With chill pop and CCM influences, Michelle creates her songs solely for the glory of God. Every word written comes from whatever the Lord puts on her heart in the moment to reach the weary, worried, anxious, and lost. She released her first ever project, "Foreign". This EP is a total of four songs expressing the journey of finally saying yes to God and the realization that He is the source of peace, rest, and true love.
Worship leading led Michelle to where she is today. Joining the worship team at her home church at the age of 16, she has never looked back since. It inspired her to learn how to play guitar, song write for the church, and taught her how to lead others into His presence. Michelle has been apart of writing camps for both Maverick City and Bethel Music. She co-wrote on "Grave Clothes", one of the songs on the Tribl I album released in 2021. On the Barclay's stage in October of last year, she sang as part of the choir for the Maverick City Music Tour stop in Brooklyn, NY. She has led worship at churches such as Time Square Church NYC and continues to lead as worship director of Ignite Church, a church plant in Rockland County.
