Amy Grant Releases New Album 'Somewhere Down The Road'

Mar 30 2010

Six-time Grammy Award winner Amy Grant releases her first album of new music in seven years today, 30th March 2010. 'Somewhere Down The Road' features the album's first single 'Better Than a Hallelujah', plus songs such as 'Overnight' (a duet with Amy's daughter Sarah Chapman), 'Hard Times', and 'Unafraid', previously unreleased recordings such as 'Come Into My World' and 'What Is the Chance of That', plus updated studio interpretations of classic hits including 'Arms of Love' and the title track.

Says Amy's record label, "Somewhere Down the Road reflects an accomplished artist at a time of renewed creativity and also echoes the life of a woman who is not afraid to write and sing about life’s most heart-wrenching moments as well as the sublime joys. Amy Grant has always been honest, vulnerable, real, never afraid to share where she is on life’s journey."

The artwork for the CD cover features a painting done by Amy herself several years ago. Left hanging on an office wall for years, Amy remembered the painting during an art direction discussion and suggested using it rather than a photo of herself.
