Quincy Telus's 'Where Were You' Reaches People Who Feel Forgotten

May 18 2022

Quincy Telus is slowly establishing his name as a singer-songwriter of days to come. His latest single 'Where Were You' is a song that looks to reach people on the days when they feel forgotten.

"This song was born out of a time when it felt like no matter how hard my friend and I were praying, and no matter how hard we were believing we would see a miracle, God kept on taking more and more away", he explains.

"Life was allowed to be made harder and harder. The whole song in itself is a prayer, asking God why it seems like He's left me, but also is me showing that no matter what, even when I have questions and doubts, I will continue to come back to God again and again.

I think it will really speak to people in situations like mine, where nothing seems to be going right, and no matter how hard they pray and try to keep their faith, God seems to have left them alone."

With a small discography covering a wide range of genres, Quincy hasn’t boxed himself into any corners, and is always looking to step out of what is comfortable and safe for him to bring the songs that he hears in his head. At just 20 years old, Quincy isn’t looking to write and release just anything, but is producing songs that tell the story of his life. Songs that people feel and can hold on to. Often compared to the smooth vocals of Sam Smith, Gawvi, and various other artists, Quincy Telus still hasn’t finished showcasing what his vocals can do, and where they can take any listener.

Paired with his other radio single, 'Right Here', Quincy has created a great pairing of songs to bring anyone comfort at any stage of life they may be at.
