This album is really an album to introduce you to Paul Colman's style, gaining new fans and bringing back old fans as he is back on the scene as a solo artist and is looking at releasing a few digital EPs soon. It is what it is titled, a History album of the history of Paul Colman to date.
The two new songs would I guess point towards his new style which is basically one voice, one guitar, apart from The Killing Tree, which contains lots of guitary sounds. Both are along the style of the Paul Colman Trio song Fill my cup which is also included on the album . The album is a bit of a mix of songs and doesn't always flow, as it really is just a collection of new and old.
I would recommend this to Paul Colman fans, and people who like slow ballad style pop, though its hard to say as it is a mixture of old and new styles, mainly old, I would say to listen to some samples before you buy. Overall I was not hugely impressed but I liked some of the album, it was good to hear some of the old tunes such as Turn, Run and Gloria, and I did also like the cover of History Maker.
