JUM3E Releases 'Goodbye Lov3r'
Christian Trap and R&B artist JUM3E has just released a new track titled 'GOODBYE LOV3R'. "This is most probably the most open and vulnerable that I have been on a track to date, I was so scared to put this out, because I was worried about being misunderstood", he admits. "But courage is to move forward in spite of the fear that we might experience, and so it was important for me to release this. Yes for your benefit to be touched and impacted... but also for mine, in overcoming fear and taking another step towards becoming STONEPROOF."
JUM3E is born, bred and buttered in the UK; but of Nigerian heritage and is being courageous in creating alternative modern Christian R&B which fuses together deep pulsing 808’s, rolling hi hats, air-cutting snares over waves of ambient synths that create moments of movement and reflection that bring together the musical worlds of Slowed and Reverb, Soul, Modern R&B and elements of Pop and Trap.
Growing up, JUM3E cites Canton Jones and Aaliyah as his biggest inspirations, which is reflected in his music’s writing style as it goes against the traditional forms of writing in Gospel music. He skilfully transitions The Word of God into letters and memoirs between him and Jesus which he cheekily dubs as ‘Glow Jams’ (Gospel + Slow Jams).
Going totally against the norms of church culture, JUM3E cites "Blue hair don't care!" as he stands unashamed of Christ in his unique look, different sound and distinctive performances which sets him apart from the mold. It’s no wonder so many people are being drawn to the honesty in his music, where he is not afraid to share his imperfections while holding the torch for hope in areas of self-esteem, worth, love and getting TURNT UP. He forgoes the suit and tie for a pair of high top trainers, exits the pulpit and invites everyone on the stage with him to create new moments of contemplation and spice!
